Mr. Henry C. Chism, age 80, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Forrest City.Mr. Chism, born Jan. 11, 1922, in Earle, was the son of Henard Chism and Nancy Bailey Chism. He lived in St. Francis County for most of his life and was a retired welding instructor with Crowley's Ridge Technical Institute. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.In 1980 Mr. Chism married Peggy Cupp and she survives him along with a daughter, Tracey Fortenberry of Paris; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Visitation services for Mr. Chism will be held Friday, May 10, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mr. Chism will be held Saturday, May 11, 2002, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
